WHAT IS OZONE
- Ozone is a colorless, unstable, gas with a pungent odor and powerful oxidizing properties. It is formed from oxygen by electrical discharges or ultraviolet light. It differs from normal oxygen (O2) as it has three atoms in its molecule (O3) .
- The third atom is very loosely attached to the normal oxygen molecule. It is designed to break free an attack pathogens, bacteria and other gases.
- Ozone was first discovered in the late 1700's. By the late 1800's it was used to disinfect and treat drinking water.
- Ozone is widely used today, for its effective disinfecting, sanitizing and odor control properties. Industries utilizing Ozone include Wastewater, Air Treatment, Food Processing, Drinking Water, Medical, Pharmaceutical, HVAC, Waterparks, and more...
NATURALLY FORMED OZONE
- UV Generated Ozone is created naturally when oxygen passes through 185 nano meters of ultraviolet light.
- Corona Discharge Ozone is created naturally when lightning passes through air.
CORONA DISCHARGE GENERATED OZONE
- Corona Discharge Ozone can also be manufactured.
- Oxygen from the air is forced between high voltage plates.
- This simulates Corona Discharge like lightning.
- The oxygen atoms (O2) are broken apart and then recombine to form Ozone molecules (O3).
HOW DOES OZONE DISINFECT
- Bacteria cell walls are vital to ensure the organism can maintain shape.
- Ozone molecules create a burst when they come in contact with bacteria.
- This damages the bacteria cell wall.
- The bacteria begins to lose its shape as the ozone molecules continue to attack.
- Within seconds Ozone molecules have created thousands of collisions and the bacteria can no longer maintain and dies.
HOW DOES OZONE ELIMINATE ODORS

1. Attacking Bacteria that cause odor:
- Low levels of Dissolved Oxygen (DO) can cause odors.
- Ozone attacks bacteria that normally would consume healthy Dissolved Oxygen (DO) thus creating a environment richer in DO, with less odor.
2. Attacking H2S Gases & Dissolved Sulfides that cause odor:
- High levels of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gases can cause odors
- The third atom of the ozone molecule breaks free and seeks out other gases to combine with.
- As this atom attaches to H2S, the H2S molecules are chemically altered and odors are immediately neutralized.
TITUS TWISTER OZONE DELIVERY
- The TITUS Twister Mixing Aerator Ozone Delivery System utilizes a corona discharge method to produce ozone from ambient air.
- The ozone produced is delivered directly and effectively, by the Twister head, into liquid waste.
- This Ozone transfer, via bubble diffusion, results in an immediate interface between the ozone bubble surface and surrounding wastewater.
- Odors are neutralized almost immediately.

TITUS Twister TT-Series
The TITUS Twister Ozone Delivery System, known as the "TT Series", can produce up to 40 grams per hour (gph) of ozone. Users have full control over ozone levels in wastewater with this adjustable system.
The Primary ozone modules are designed with adjustable ozone output.
The Primary module of the TT-20 model delivers up to 10gph.
The Primary module of the TT-40 delivers up to 20gph.
The Secondary modules can be utilized two different ways.
This module can be easily turned on, and provide an additional 10gph (TT-20 model) or 20gph (TT-40 model) of ozone.
The Secondary module can also be considered a replacement module for the Primary.
All ozone-enhanced systems are securely housed in stainless steel enclosures that are safe and climate-controlled. Installation is straightforward and hassle-free.
